Op. 6 — Questions

Before you begin.

I've never touched a piano. Can I still learn?

Absolutely. Many students start from zero. The first lessons cover the basics, from where to sit and how to place your hands to finding your first notes, and you'll be playing a real melody sooner than you think.

Do I need an acoustic piano?

No. A digital piano or keyboard works well, ideally with full-size keys. If you're not sure what to buy, ask during your trial lesson and you'll get a recommendation.

How do online lessons actually work?

You'll meet live on a video call with your camera positioned to show your hands and keys. Shrusti watches, listens and gives feedback in real time, just like an in-person lesson, without the commute.

What ages do you teach?

Children, teens and adults. Lessons are adapted to each student: playful and visual for young learners, structured and goal-driven for adults.

What kind of music will I learn?

A balance of classical foundations and the music you love, such as film themes, pop songs and contemporary pieces. Theory and sight-reading are woven in so you understand what you play.

I live in a different time zone. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Lessons are online, so we'll find a slot that works for both sides when you book your trial.
